Οι Πακιστανοί βασανιζονται όπου και αν τους δουν και τους ζητουν να εγκαταλείψουν τη χώρα τους αμέσως. "Είδαμε τα πτώματα των Πακιστανών με τα μάτια μας βρίσκονται στο δρόμο χωρίς επίβλεψη και ηταν μια φρικη.

 

Greece a deadly place for illegal immigrants

LAHORE - Hundreds of Pakistanis, who crossed the border illegally, are stranded in Greece, as they are either jobless or arrested by the local police.The information was shared by the Pakistanis, who are in FIA custody after being deported by Greece, with this scribe.

They said the jobless immigration aspirants did not have money even to purchase ticket to return their homeland. A large number of Pakistani youngsters were seen outside the government offices in Greece, where the officials took their fingerprints so that they could not enter into their country again.Sharing a tragic episode, one of the deportees said Pakistani jobless youngsters in Greece were involved in kidnapping for ransom.

They trap the recently-arrived Pakistanis by asking them to stay with them as guest at their residences on the pretext that they would help in seeking job. “But when any of these innocent people reach their residence, they start torturing him and make his screams listened to his family members in Pakistan on his cellular phone and demand ransom for release,” he added.According to the deportees said Pakistanis’ life in Greece was never safe since the government there has formed a squad, who patrol on their bikes.

They torture Pakistanis wherever they see them and ask them to leave their country immediately.“We saw dead bodies of Pakistanis with our own eyes lying unattended on road and it was a horrible scene.”Deportees said several weak youngsters were killed while on their way to Greece on foot, when they suggest that they were no more able to move ahead.“We were trapped by travel agents in the name of bright future in Greece,” said most of the deportees kept in the lock up of FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Cell.

They said four to five years back, Greece was a good place to earn one’s livings, but the current recession had shattered its economy, due to which many Pakistanis were in deep trouble.They were of view that the Pakistani Embassy in Greece was not taking interest to solve their problems.

All of them had almost used same channel to cross the border of Greece, and paid almost same amount to the travel agents and faced similar problems like one to two months long on foot travel, unemployment, hunger and deadly journey from unsafe routes.Majority of Pakistani stranded in Greece belong to the upper Punjab.
